We are delighted to announce that we now offer the new City & Guilds EV installer course at our academies. This will be the latest version of the course aligned to the new City & Guilds standards. 

Taking place at our British Gas Academies you’ll be able to take advantage of our expert tutors and facilities.

Course Entry Requirements

You must bring evidence of your qualifications when you attend the training centre. Without this, you will not be able to continue your training.

To ensure you are eligible to book this course online, you must have one of the following:

A current ECS Gold Card for:

  • Installation Electrician
  • Maintenance Electrician
  • Domestic Electrician

Or

Any of the following qualifications, plus the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification if your qualification was achieved more than 5 years ago:

  • C&G 5393 Electrotechnical in Dwellings
  • C&G 5357 Level 3 Electrotechnical (installation or maintenance)
  • C&G 2357 Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (buildings, structures, and the environment)
  • C&G 2346 Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification
  • C&G 2347 Level 3 Electrotechnical in Dwellings Experienced Worker Qualification

Course Books
For this course you will be required to bring your own copies of the below:

  • The IET Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation (Latest Edition).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Book (BS 7671).
