As one of the world’s largest energy experts, providing efficient, cost-effective solutions to businesses of all sizes and sectors, we are perfectly positioned to ensure your business remains resilient and compliant.
Our dedicated Electrical Training team has been in operation for more than 20 years. Beginning as TJ Lowe/The Lowe Group, consisting of the National Electrical Certification and Training Alliance (NECTA), we then became British Gas in 2010. Seven years later, the same team rebranded as Centrica Business Solutions, a global energy and services company dedicated to satisfying the changing needs of its customers.
In 2023, a further exciting business change came when the Electrical Training team joined the British Gas Academy, an industry leading learning and development centre. Formed in 2003, the Academy has delivered outstanding training programmes for over 5000 apprentices and engineers within Centrica.
Our combined experience means we have extensive knowledge in all areas of training, enabling us to offer high quality learning for both our customers and colleagues. Delegates are taught by the industry experts in our state-of-the-art training centres, using the latest technology, appliances, and equipment.
The merge between the two business areas also presents a wider commercial offering for our customers and we are delighted to be introducing Gas engineering and Net Zero training solutions in the future.
Our current training programmes include the City & Guilds Electrical and Accredited Series, CompEx, BCIA and a range of our own centre devised courses. These can be delivered face-to-face at academy venues across the UK, virtually, or we can provide a more tailored solution and deliver closed courses at your site.
